Resolve Disputes Peacefully, Privately, and Cost-Effectively

At Pranzitelli Law Firm, we offer mediation services designed to help individuals, families, and businesses resolve disputes outside of court. Mediation is a voluntary, confidential, and often faster alternative to litigation that allows all parties to have a voice in reaching a fair and lasting resolution.

Whether you're facing a legal dispute in a personal, commercial, or professional context, mediation can offer clarity, control, and closure—without the stress and cost of a trial.

What Is Mediation?

Mediation is a guided negotiation process led by a neutral third party (the mediator). Unlike a judge, a mediator does not impose decisions but instead helps participants:

Identify the core issues

Understand each other’s perspectives

Explore options for resolution

Work toward mutually acceptable outcomes

Mediation can be used before or during a legal proceeding, and often helps avoid litigation entirely.

When to Consider Mediation

Our clients choose mediation in a wide variety of matters, including:

Business and commercial disputes

Contract disagreements

Real estate conflicts

Employment and workplace issues

Family and estate disputes

Civil litigation matters

Mediation is especially valuable when preserving ongoing relationships, saving legal costs, or seeking a private and respectful resolution is important.

Benefits of Mediation

Confidential & private

Faster than litigation

Lower legal costs

Voluntary & collaborative

Preserves relationships

Gives you control over the outcome

Unlike the court process, mediation puts the power back in your hands—with guidance from an experienced legal team to help protect your interests throughout.

Your Rights After A Slip & Fall

Under the Occupier's Liability Act, property owners and those having responsibility for are legally responsible for ensuring that the property is reasonably safe for those using it.

Under the Municipal Act, 2001, municipalities are responsible for keeping the roadway including the sidewalk in a reasonable state of repair.

Slip and falls are very fact specific and evidence is required to prove that either the municipality or those in charge of the property did not take reasonable steps to prevent the slip and fall

.

Your first priority should be obtaining any medical attention you require. Actions like taking pictures and collecting witness information will help you in a future claim to receive compensation for your injuries.

Ensure that you receive all the compensation available to you following a slip & fall ⬇️

Steps Following A Slip & Fall

Take photographs of the condition or conditions that caused you to slip and fall.

Collect witness information. Including the names and contact info of any witnesses, including those who stopped to assist you.

Remember where the fall occurred and surrounding details. Take note of the nearest property's address, level of lighting, signs of warning, and security cameras.

Preserve your footware. This will be an important piece of evidence in your slip and fall claim. Avoid wearing the same footwear again.

Provide notice if necessary.
